Rebecca Stephens Salter
It is assumed that the Rebecca Salter indicated as buried in this churchyard is the same person as Rebecca Stephens, who was the daughter of Linton Stephens and his first wife, and who married Mr. R. H. Salter.
Salter relations who were found on a list of members of this church: Mrs. Mary Stephens (widow of Linton Stephens), Rebecca C. Stephens (daughter of Linton by his first wife. She married her step-mother's brother becoming Mrs. R. H. Salter), Claude and Emeline Stephens who, influenced by their stepmother, became nuns. Lenora, Alexander and Rosemary Stephens, R. H. Salter Jr., John M. Salter and Agnes Salter.
Note: Linton Stephens (1823-72), the brother of Alexander Stephens, married (2nd) Mary Salter of Boston. She was Catholic and he helped build this Catholic chapel near his home in 1869.
