Josie Clayton Armstrong

On Thursday, June 30, 1988, God called one of his servants, Mrs. Josie Clayton Armstrong, home to everlasting life.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. Charles Clayton and Amanda Dickson Clayton and was born April 1, 1908.
She joined St. Paul C.M.E. Church in 1920 under the leadership of the late Reverend Durden and worked faithfully until her death. She served on the Stewardess Board and in the Missionary Society. She was a faithful member of the Sunday School.
She married Mr. Charlie B. Armstrong and to this union 6 children were born. She leaves five daughters: Mrs. Roxie Lawson, Sparta, Ga; Mrs. Amanda Parks, Atlanta; Mrs. Alice Stewart, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Corine Rachell, Cleveland, Ohio; and Mrs. Josie Pearl Wilson, Savannah; one son Mr. Charles A. Clayton, Atlanta. She was proceeded in death by a son, Mr. David Sam Armstrong.
