Mrs. Florence Callaway Newsome Homemaker -WARRENTON, GA - Mrs. Florence Callaway Newsome, age 84, beloved wife of the late Mr. Lester E. Newsome, Jr. of Ansley Road died Friday June 24, 2005 at the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 3P.M. Sunday June 26, 2005 at the Jewell Baptist Church with the Revs. Ralph Story and Terry Braswell officiating. Burial will follow in the Jewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Newsome will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services at the church. -Mrs. Newsome was a native of Hancock County, GA but lived in Warren County for many years. She was a homemaker and member of Jewell Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. -Survivors include three sons, Les E. Newsome, III, Gibson, GA, Phil C. Newsome, Eatonton, GA, and Tony S. Newsome, Warrenton, GA; three daughters, Cheryl Newsome, Warrenton, GA, Sandra Azimi, Gordon, GA, and Cathe Newsome, Eatonton, GA; three sisters, Nell Dickerson, Elberton, GA, Alma Holsenbeck, Milledgeville, GA, and Dena Osborne, Newnan, GA; eighteen grandchildren, and twenty-two great grandchildren. -Pallbearers will be grandsons, Barry Newsome, Larry Newsome, David Newsome, Lee Newsome, Lee Griffin, and Ken Norris.
