Rev. Samuel K. Talmadge

Rev. Samuel K. Talmadge was a Presbyterian minister from New Jersey, who founded Oglethorpe University and was its president for 20 years. At one time the noted geologist, Joseph Le Conte, was on the faculty. In 1870, Oglethorpe was moved to Atlanta.
