Last Will and Testament of William MaClellan / MacClellan

Georgia
Hancock County. In the name of God Amen.
I William MaClellan being weak of body but of perfect mind & memory think proper to make this my last will and testament in the following form & manner. First I consign my soul to Him that gave it me & my body to the earth (unreadable) Christian burial & as to what it has pleased God to (unreadable) me with as to temporal things I wish to dispose of in the following way, viz,

1st. It is my will that all my property both real and personal belong to my beloved wife Francina MaClellan during her material life and after her death to be brought together and be equally divided between my sons William MaClellan, John MaClellan, Henry MaClellan, James MaClellen, Polly MaClellan and Nancy MaClellan.

2nd. I also wish that after the death of my wife that all the plantation tools together with the set of carpenters tools be equally divided between my three sons, John MaClellan, Henry MaClellan & James MaClellan.

3rd. It is also my wish that after the death of my (wife) that all the stock & household furniture of every kind be equally divided amongst my sons and daughters (viz, John, Henry, James, Elizabeth Price, Peggy Price, Polly and Nancy MaClellan.

4th. I also wish that after the death of my wife that the land whereon I live be equally divided amongst my three sons John MaClellan, Henry MaClellan & James MaClellan.

5th. I wish & do hereby nominate and appoint my three sons John MaClellan, Henry MaClellan & James MaClellan my executors to act on & fulfil the duties required above in this my last will and testament and also to pay all my just debts out of any monies belonging to the estate. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal in the presence of the subscribing witnesses the day & year above written (no date provided on copy we have).

The family genealogy by Elma Heffner suggests that William MaClellan's wife was Francina Veazey, daughter of James Veazey, a Revolutionary War soldier from the Maryland Troops.
