SPARTA - Edgar W. Wilson, 68, Sparta, died Monday, September 17, 2001 in an Augusta hospital.
Funeral services will be 2P.M. Thursday, September 20, 2001, Williams White Columns Funeral Chapel, Milledgeville, Rev. Jerry Bradley and Rev. Wesley Long, officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Methodist Church Cemetery, Hancock County.
Mr. Wilson was a native of Putnam County, lived in Milledgeville a number of years and in Hancock County the past thirty-three years. He was the son of the late Lowery Wilson and the late Annie Laurie Wilson. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a self-employed sign painter, having worked for the Coca-Cola Co. a number of years.
Survivors include his daughter Carmen Hill, Milledgeville; two sons, Chris Wilson, Milledgeville and Mark Wilson, Perry; stepdaughter, Janice Worsham, Milledgeville, two stepsons, Gary Poole, Carrollton, Jack Poole, Augusta; sister, Louise Burgamy, Milledgeville; twenty grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
